Let’s get to know each other
.
I am an artist of sacred art. I treat painting as a kind of spiritual practice. My fascination with color and its power to influence people is the starting point for my work.
My love of iconography began while studying at the Academy of Fine Arts in Lviv. Copying the old masters, I fell in love with Ukrainian icons from the 15th and 16th centuries, which still inspire me today.
In painting, I use traditional techniques of ancient iconographers to create modern and minimalist sacred art.

“Icon painting is a form of meditation and a way for me to understand myself better. The process of creating an icon demands deep attention and being fully present in the moment. An icon reflects what I am filled with emotionally and mentally. By immersing myself in silence, I seek inner light and express it through my artistic works. “

PURPOSE
Story about love
.
When painting, I explore the archetypes and symbols of traditional iconography to understand my nature better. I tell the story of a man who seeks a way to discover the Mystery.
I try to find a universal language that is understandable regardless of time, space, and cultural differences—a language that unites us.

TRADITION
Material
.
My icons are created following centuries-old traditions.
The first step is to prepare the substrate. Choosing correctly seasoned wood, such as pine or linden, is essential in ensuring the icon’s durability and stability.
I also personally make the primer, having control over the proportions and the type of glue and chalk used. I combine natural pigments with a previously prepared medium based on egg yolk.
The whole process is very complex and requires years of study. This method has been proven for centuries, allowing colors to retain their intensity and durability for the longest time.

“Through the symbolism, power of color, and content of icons, people have for centuries found in them a source of inspiration, solace, and spiritual strength to help them in their inner journey and relationship with the Divine.“

TOOL FOR CHANGE.
An icon in your home
.
I believe that an icon is a work of art and a source of peace and inner serenity.
It is a material intermediary between man and the Inconceivable.
Its presence in the home can inspire contemplation and grounding in the present.

POWER OF DETAILS.
Symbol
.
The oldest icons that have survived to our time date back to the 6th century A.D. Over the years, a rich symbolism has developed, expressed through the depicted figures, gestures, and colors. Each element has a deeper meaning and reference to spiritual content.

TRANSFORMATION.IN.YOU
Workshops
.
I share my experience of iconographic painting with you through the workshops I conduct.
They are an excellent opportunity to learn a new painting technique and also (not infrequently) – a profound spiritual experience.
Working on an icon is a kind of meditation, an immersion into its intangible dimension, an attempt to express it through creative efforts.
